When talking about exports it is common to focus on sending physical products to overseas markets yet for a region such as Tasmania the importance of providing a tourism ‘service’ to overseas visitors cannot be overlooked as also being an export industry. One tourism sector that is ripe for exploitation within Tasmania is that of agri-tourism as many visitors look to experience ‘life as a local’ and to try to sample not only the natural scenery but also locally produced foods and drinks in the environment in which they are produced.

This course module will provide specific insight and information to assist in the development of this agri-tourism industry for both the domestic and overseas visitors.
